| The first Illustrator project we were assigned was to create a fake company and then design a logo for that company. I chose a scrapbooking store since scrapbooking is my hobby. The original background shapes were ellipses that I tweaked and changed into their current shapes. The title I create was meant to have two meanings. The first was "Scappin' Time" as in it's time to scrapbook. The second was meant to imply that our memories and photos are just a scrap in time. |

Our second Illustrator project was to make up a poem and then find a way to illustrate it. I wrote out the poem first so that it was legible. Then, I took the key words from each line and emphasized them in different ways to illustrate the important parts. |

My third Illustrator project was to actually go out and buy a bottle of something from the grocery store and create a label for it. We also had to actually adhere our labels to the original bottle. I opted to do a bottle of wine for my project. I kept the design simple, yet clean. I also researched Italian words until I found some that I thought could be used to describe wine. |

I probably had the most fun with this project. We were told to create one page of a children's story book and then illustrate it. |

Our final project was to replicate something mechanical using only Illustrator. Doing one of the rockets in Rocket Park at Johnson Space Center was my first and only choice really. I'm such a space nerd; I couldn't resist. It proved to be challenging, but I couldn't be happier with the results. |
